RTVE trusts in Datos Media to update its ingest system in the continuity department22 - April - 2021
Datos Media has been in charge of integrating a new high availability system for media validation and ingest flow management in the continuity department of RTVE de Torrespaña.
For this project, the experience of the german company R&S (Rohde & Schwarz) and the spanish innovation of Ebantic have been chosen.
It is supported by an R&S SpycerNode storage with a capacity of up to 184 TB and offers several 100Gb links for access to the content as well as providing security with its redundancy. It has been configured as a destination to deposit the files of the different existing gateways and, on the other hand, ingest channels have been configured in baseband by SDI, integrating with the automation of the Harrys ADC100 existing in the facilities.
In addition, the ADC100 features R&S Venice video server control for material validation and review. The Venice allows you to work in a hybrid way both over IP and SDI and have a large selection of codecs that allow you to work in UHD formats with HDR.
For the management of these intake flows, the Spanish company Ebantic has been chosen, and its BPM system, which are responsible for moving the media to the continuity environments of both Madrid and Barcelona or the Canary Islands.

Finally, it should be noted that all network electronics have been designed with high availability and high capacity links, providing redundancy at critical points in the system.
